5 Start and Stop the Oracle Database Service

This table describes how to start and stop the Oracle database service OracleServiceSID.

Table 5-1 Starting and Stopping the OracleServiceSID

If You Want To...	Then...
Start the Oracle database service `OracleServiceSID`.	Right-click the database instance to access (for example, `ORCL`). Choose Start Service from the menu that appears. The service starts.
Stop the Oracle database service `OracleServiceSID`.	Right-click the database instance to access (for example, `ORCL`). Choose Stop Service from the menu that appears. The service stops.
